Gina Fuentes Walker uses translucent materials such as transparencies of color photographs, glass and Plexiglas to create small and large scale installations of the natural world. She uses photography to capture abstract details she finds inside the urban landscape of city parks and gardens. Untitled transparencies | late winter is a collage of photographs taken on a drive back to New York as dusk was settling on the tree branches. Their dark silhouettes become abstract striations against the darkening sky.
